Senior UX Designer – Public Sector / Government Projects

Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

Up to £70,000 base salary

A leading digital consultancy with a national presence is expanding its User-Centred Design capability and is looking for talented Mid–Senior Interaction Designers to join a major new programme of work. This is an opportunity to shape services used by millions across the UK and be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

We're looking for designers who can bring ideas to life, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and drive meaningful change through user-centred design. If you're passionate about improving public services and enjoy solving complex challenges, this could be a fantastic next step in your career.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of Interaction Design experience, ideally with significant exposure to public sector or government projects.
  • GDS prototyping experience – or solid hands-on ability with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript if you haven't used the GDS kit directly.
  • A strong track record of user-centred design, taking projects from early discovery through to final delivery.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers is a bonus.
  • SC clearance eligibility (or current clearance) is essential.
