Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and organising ingredients.
- Support chefs with cooking activities as required, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, stored correctly, and maintained in good condition.
- Organise and restock supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- Follow strict hygiene protocols to uphold health standards within the kitchen environment.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by assisting with clearing tables and replenishing supplies as needed.
Requirements
Applicants MUST be able to work weekends and be flexible throughout weekdays
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary preparation and kitchen management.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary.
