About the role - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
As the Expert Brand Manager- Pain (Topical & Systemics), you will be critical to delivering the GB and Ireland Expert (HCP) strategy. Through managing the largest portfolio in OTC, you will be responsible for the developing a strategic framework and executing the Expert communications plan. The strategy you set across both markets will grow brand and category penetration, by influencing Expert (HCP) recommendation by targeting a range of Healthcare Professionals with relevant materials, leveraging both global toolkits and using local insights to create and execute with excellence. To do this you will utilise ALL the key Expert channels including Digital, Conferences and Events, Salesforce, Publications and Expert Advocates/Influencers.
To deliver the external communications plan, you will need to liaise with partner Creative, Production, Media agencies and professional associations as well as working closely internally to represent Expert, working with the Brand teams, Sales, CommEx, Supply Chain, Medical and Regulatory. Your objective will be to deliver rich and incredibly impactful creative content that drives cut through in a competitive advertising landscape, to deliver Expert KPIs including Average Weekly Recommendation, Brand Recommended Most Often and Share of Recommendation.
This role will also be responsible for supporting the Senior Expert Manager with the setup, onboarding and ongoing success of our new pharmacy field team, with pain category education and detailing being the biggest focus. The incumbent will also need to work with the OTC ARM lead in both GB and Ireland to ensure the planning, execution and measurement of training that is delivered via our corporate partners.
This role will need to work closely with both BU and Global teams, feeding into strategy and innovation as well as leading on Test and Learns for OTC for the BU.
Key responsibilities
Delivering net sales growth and brand penetration by increasing condition awareness amongst HCPs to drive advocacy and recommendation of Haleon's brands amongst their patients (consumers) and peers.
Delivering the 3-year Expert brand strategy across GB and Ireland, and the short-medium term digital acceleration and marketing communications planning for Haleon's brands utilising Expert channels, including professional publications, programmatic, social, paid, and organic search, salesforce, conferences and events and HCP influencers.
Working with multifunctional teams to create the Expert brand strategy for the total category including Expert Recommendation Journeys, Expert pen portraits and Expert task maps.
Adopting relevant global materials and working with the Senior Expert Brand Manager in influencing the NE BU and category teams to deliver the right materials to help win in market.
Representing Expert and contributing towards brand RGM/MAP planning with a clear expert plan and the relevant size of prize and budgets required to execute the plan.
Managing A&P in line with monthly/quarterly/annual budget forecasting cycles and P2P guidelines.
Working closely with the Ireland Activation Lead to ensure seamless planning and activation of pain brands across the field team and corporates in Ireland.
Driving brand conversion via a strong sampling (where appropriate) strategy alongside impactful patient resources.
Owning the end-to-end Quarterly and Annual Expert marketing campaign planning process by working closely with creative, production and media agencies in the timely and cost-effective manner.
Working with the Senior Expert Brand Manager and Senior Expert Digital Manager to deliver the digital acceleration strategy with a focus on driving HCP engagement with Haleon Health Partner.
Communicating closely with the Expert Channels team to support in the delivery of Corporate (Grocery Pharmacy) activation planning focusing on ROI and impact
Working closely with the Medical team to ensure all scientific and HCP promotion is compliant and to drive business capability with engaging the professional HCP associations.
Leading in the successful end-to-end delivery of highly impactful Expert conferences and events including Field Team briefing, production agency briefing and negotiating with conference organisers.
Communicating Haleon's Sustainability agenda across the universe of target Experts to champion industry change.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
Experience of leading brand campaigns from strategic planning to execution.
High level of autonomy and strong sense of ownership.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Commitment to effective cross functional working.
Evidence of contributions to the strategic planning process.
Proven track record of driving brand growth.
Strong consumer insights experience: demonstrating ability to identify and deploy powerful insights that drive growth.
Strong project management capability: Proven ability to lead complex projects with successful outcomes.
Involvement and understanding of bringing innovation to market.
Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability work effectively across functions.
Delivered successful Expert or Consumer connections.
Experience in developing digital campaigns with strong results.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L/A&P/budget management.
Preferred
Previous experience in Consumer Healthcare/ medical marketing
