Nirvana Search is partnering with a high-growth, Private Equity-backed SaaS business to recruit a strategic and technically exceptional, Director of FP&A. This is a critical leadership appointment, reporting directly to the CFO, designed for a seasoned finance leader ready to architect the financial roadmap for a business focused on aggressive scaling and future exit.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional reporting role; it is a strategic architect position. You will be the CFO's right hand, responsible for translating the company's strategic vision into a tangible financial plan. You will own the long-range planning (LRP), drive the commercial narrative for the Board and PE investors, and lead high-stakes investment appraisals. Your mandate is to build a "best-in-class" FP&A function that delivers the predictive insight required to maximise shareholder value.

You will be responsible for:

Strategic Planning & Advanced Modelling:
Own the creation and maintenance of the group's Long Range Plan (LRP) and budget. You must be hands-on in building sophisticated, dynamic three-statement financial models from scratch to support scenario planning, M&A activity, and capital structure decisions.

Commercial Co-Pilot to Leadership:
Partner closely with the C-Suite to challenge performance and drive operational efficiency. You will translate complex financial data into actionable strategic advice, influencing decision-making at the highest level.

SaaS Metrics & Unit Economics:
Deep-dive analysis into the core drivers of SaaS value creation. You will rigorously track and optimise unit economics (CAC, LTV, Net Retention, Churn, Magic Number) to ensure the business is scaling efficiently and sustainably.

Investor Relations & Board Reporting:
Lead the preparation of monthly Board packs and quarterly investor presentations. You will own the financial narrative, ensuring clear articulation of risks, opportunities, and progress against the Private Equity Value Creation Plan.

Knowledge and Experience

We are looking for a heavyweight FP&A professional with the technical depth and commercial gravitas to lead in a high-pressure, high-reward environment.

• Qualified Accountant
  (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) is essential.
• 10+ years of progressive experience
  , with at least 5 years in a dedicated FP&A leadership role.
• Expert Financial Modeller:
  You must possess exceptional technical modelling capabilities. You should be comfortable building complex, integrated models for M&A, fundraising, and exit planning from scratch.
• Sector Expertise:
  Deep understanding of the SaaS / Subscription business model and its specific revenue recognition and performance metrics is required.
• PE Experience:
  Prior experience working in a Private Equity-backed environment, ideally involving an exit process or significant M&A integration, is highly advantageous.
