Responsibilities:

As a Social Worker within the Assessment Team, you will deliver high-quality social work practice to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people in need of social work support, assessment, and intervention. You will demonstrate a high standard of systemic practice, providing support and co-working with less experienced team members, and model and help others develop key elements of systemic practice. You will manage high levels of risk and complexity in casework, handling a complex caseload with robust analysis and focused, purposeful practice. Additionally, you will contribute to routine quality assurance work, including case audits, practice observations, and gathering child and family feedback. Supporting the Team Manager with team development and co-working complex cases with less experienced members will also be part of your role. You will need strong assessment skills and the ability to consistently deliver high-standard written reports, including court reports. Providing support and informal supervision to team members, enhancing the formal supervision provided by the Team Manager, will be essential. You will also prepare work and support others in preparing for formal meetings and processes, such as Case Conference Meetings, Looked After Children Reviews, and key Decision-Making Panels.

As a Social Worker within the Assessment Team, you are required to:

• Hold a Social Work England registration
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK license
• Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent
• At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
