Dementia Hwb Support Worker, Part Time

Part-time vacancy for Dementia Hwb Support Worker
working from the Dementia Hwbs, primarily in
Aberafan Shopping Centre

and Quadrant Shopping Centre when required.
12hrs a week, core hours 11am-3pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

. Funded until March 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry to support the production of monthly statistics of Hwb visitors and their queries.
  • Liaising with volunteers, staff, and partner organisations to maintain a collaborative working environment.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the general look and feel of the Dementia Hwb/Information and literature is maintained.
  • Work as a team for the Dementia Hwb ensuring referrals to other organisations are followed up, all visitors receive consistent high-quality information and empathetic listening.
  • In addition to the daily operations of the Dementia Hwb you will be asked to have ongoing project work, which the team will be dependent upon for smooth running.
  • Carry out any other activities as reasonably asked of you by the Project Lead (or as otherwise determined by the Charity).

Person Specification

  • Interim knowledge of MS office
  • Experienced to be able to multi-task
  • Confident talking to people in the community and responding to changing situations
  • Excellent administration and self-organisation skills
  • Demonstrable skills of working as part of a team that has achieved success
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Demonstrable skills in working with and assisting people (essential) with a shown interest in the community and in particular Dementia (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken
