Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Bristol Office - 3 days a week on site

Role Purpose

To provide IT System Design and In-service Support to projects to meet their needs and the needs of the business in line with all relevant policies, procedures, requirements and standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT systems including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support
    Windows Server
    environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage
    Group Policies
    , network switches, and
    firewalls
    to maintain secure and efficient operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues to minimize downtime and support end users.
  • Oversee software, hardware, and equipment installations and deployments in line with IT standards.
  • Maintain project IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, backups, and system deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new technologies and continuously improve systems.
  • Produce and maintain clear
    technical documentation
    to support compliance, continuity, and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in system design and architecture activities, evaluating and implementing optimal solutions.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with
    Windows Server and Desktop OS
    in enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot
    networking and server infrastructure
    .
  • Experience with
    OS imaging, preparation, and deployment
    .
  • Good understanding of
    network security
    and
    firewall management fundamentals
    .
