Job Description

A Sportibees Sports Holiday Club Coach is responsible for planning, delivering, and supervising fun, safe, and engaging sports sessions for children during school holidays. The coach creates a positive environment that encourages participation, skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment, while ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports activities and games.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behaviour.
  • Set up, maintain, and pack away equipment safely.
  • Adapt activities to suit different abilities and needs.
  • Provide clear instruction, support, and encouragement during sessions.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Follow all safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety procedures.

Line manager: Eamon Buhalfaia.

Working relationships: Children attending the club and their parents/carers.

Management and staff.

Childcare and play related organisations, schools and local Education Authority.

Teachers and children in school.

Area: Nurseries, pre-schools, schools and venues within Wirral.

Salary: £12-15 per hour.

Hours: Minimum 5 hours per day during holiday clubs with potential of more hours in the near future.

Essential Qualities:

  • To be able to drive.
  • Experience of working with children.
  • Understanding the varied needs of individual children.
  • Provide and facilitate safe and creative sports lessons.
  • Understanding equal opportunities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Clear DBS certificate.
  • Able to work as part of a team and drive the business forward.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
