The job in a nutshell:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the continued growth and optimisation of our supply chain. This role is ideal for someone with solid procurement experience who is ready to take ownership of both day-to-day purchasing and broader strategic initiatives.

You will work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and drive improvements across supplier management, sourcing, data quality, and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations & Supplier Management

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring stock availability and timely supplier delivery.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records, order confirmations, pricing, lead times, and other procurement data.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, resolving delivery, quality, or service issues.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high product quality and service levels.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with suppliers through regular communication and performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and negotiate favourable pricing, terms, and MOQs.

Product Sourcing & Range Development

  • Identify gaps in the current assortment and source commercially viable products to expand the offering.
  • Conduct product and supplier assessments to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Carry out research into new product types, categories, and emerging trends, presenting recommendations.

Data, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Improve demand forecasting accuracy by analysing sales trends to support better planning and purchasing decisions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate SKU, pricing, and product data across internal systems.
  • Contribute to the reintroduction and optimisation of MRP processes to improve demand planning, stock control, and replenishment.
  • Support initiatives to improve data quality, reporting capability, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing procurement dashboards and KPIs, providing insights to drive continuous improvement

What you need to be successful:

  • Proven experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
  • Confident working with data, with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of inventory planning, stock control, and MRP processes (advantageous).
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
