SC Holiday Clubs is a holiday club company aimed at primary schools and young children in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
SC Holiday Clubs was set up by two qualified teachers in 2018, Initially, we only provided we provided childcare during school holidays but we now successfully run multiple after school clubs and are ready to expand our provision and are therefore looking for additional coaches. We have grown rapidly over the last year with over 1500 children attending our holiday clubs in 2023 and over 2800 children coached at our after school clubs.
SC Holiday Clubs has over 18 years of experience inside the school environment. We offer fun activities that keep the children active and healthy whilst making new friends and building confidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified sports coach to teach afterschool in initially a Primary School but this is expected to expand. The role is part time and mainly after school- days and times to be confirmed. This is an ideal post for a Uni student.
We have between 1 and 5 hours available during the week.
Times will be between: 3:00pm-4:15pm.
The ideal candidate would be qualified in a level 2 sports coaching qualification and or a degree in a relevant subject, have a paediatric first aid qualification, safeguarding trained (this can be provided), have a DBS certificate or be on the update service (a DBS check will also need to be completed by SC Holiday Clubs if not on the update service). Having transport available is desirable as it may involve working at different locations in one day, travel expenses can be discussed upon achieving the role.
It is desirable that the candidate have experience working with large groups and within a primary school setting. It may include assisting and coaching different sports. For example, football, bench ball, dodgeball and more .
We are looking for the candidate to be approachable, friendly, confident, able to think on their feet, adaptable and able to work with school staff, coaches and independently. The candidate may also be required to submit lesson plans, complete light admin work including registers and assessments.
As part of the role candidates may be given the opportunity to gain extra coaching qualifications through the company and training such as first aid and safeguarding.
The candidate will need to provide two references and an up-to-date CV with covering letter as to why they feel they would be an ideal person for the role.
