Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop barista skills within a welcoming environment, ensuring customers have a positive experience from the moment they walk in. A keen eye for detail, good organisational skills, and a passion for coffee and service are essential.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and processing payments using the till system.
  • Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Assist with opening or closing duties, including cleaning equipment and organising workspaces.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Barista is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to maintain hygiene compliance.
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
  • Basic food preparation skills are beneficial for handling light food items.
  • Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising service quality.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.45 per hour
