Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of caregiving, including but not limited to assisted living, senior care, and specialised care for conditions such as Alzheimer's and dementia.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home.
  • Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide behaviour management support for clients with specific challenges.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home care, nursing, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and medication administration.
  • Experience in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Pay: £12.60-£12.82 per hour
