Dunster Lodge in the Community Ltd are looking for Full & Part Time Community Home Care Assistants to join our outstanding team.

As a Community Home Care Assistant, you will provide vital support to individuals in their own homes, enhancing their quality of life. This role requires no prior experience, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in care.

A clean driving licence and own transport are necessary. We pay travel costs and very good rates of pay including double pay on bank holidays.

You will be working with just a small number of clients and, because we work differently to other home care providers, you will have the time and opportunity to build a caring and supportive relationship with the people in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the home environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and provide home care
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a community care environment
  • No prior experience required full training will be provided
