Are you ready to lead a high-profile transformation programme that will shape the future of accommodation and service delivery across West Berkshire Council? We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Accommodation Review Programme Manager to join our Transformation, Customer & ICT Service. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and delivering meaningful change.
This is a pivotal role within our Projects Team, where you'll work closely with Members, Portfolio Holders, and Senior Officers to drive strategic initiatives, manage complex projects, and ensure robust governance and resource management. If you're passionate about transformation, service improvement, and making a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
- Lead the delivery of the Accommodation Review and wider Transformation Programme.
- Develop business cases, financial proposals, and risk forecasts for strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams to deliver high-impact projects.
- Provide expert advice to governance boards and senior stakeholders.
- Drive service improvements and optimise the use of Council-owned assets.
- Ensure effective performance, financial, and resource management.
- Promote equality, customer focus, and continuous improvement across the programme.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes
- A relevant degree and recognised project management qualification (essential).
- Extensive experience in project management or technical digital/ICT services.
- Proven leadership in a public sector property or construction project environment.
- Strong financial and team management experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Political awareness and understanding of local government operations.
- Ability to work independently, lead teams, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Please note this role is fixed term 9 month from start date - Funding limited project
