We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who need extra help with Maths, ensuring they thrive academically and socially.
- Work closely with teachers, the Inclusion Coordinator (INCO), and other professionals to identify pupils needing Maths interventions.
- Develop and implement tailored action plans to support individual learning needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and families to encourage engagement and progress.
- Provide regular feedback to staff and parents on pupil progress and recommend further support where needed.
- Participate in assessments, training, and networking to share best practice and enhance your professional development.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or relevant experience in primary education.
- Strong knowledge of the Primary Maths curriculum and understanding of barriers to learning such as dyscalculia or maths anxiety .
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Proven experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a primary school setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external agencies.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
