Regulatory Reporting Manager (12-Month Contract) – Leading SME Bank.

We are partnering with a prominent, independent financial institution based in Central London to find an experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This pivotal role within the Finance function is responsible for the overall execution and control of the firm's prudential reporting obligations across Capital and Liquidity. The business is looking for someone for an immediate start.

About the Role

This position provides a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to take ownership of the daily prudential reporting process. You will ensure the function runs smoothly, leveraging technology to manage and automate regulatory submissions.

  • Regulatory Reporting:
    Oversee the end to end Capital & Liquidity reporting processes.
  • Process Control:
    Oversee the submission process, executing the first-level review to guarantee all regulatory filings are submitted accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic Input:
    Prepare insightful analytical data to guide senior finance leadership before major reporting periods.
  • Regulatory Alignment:
    Proactively monitor shifts in the regulatory landscape and internal business operations, adjusting reporting processes to maintain compliance.
  • Governance:
    Own the control framework for regulatory reporting, managing testing cycles and driving remediation plans for any identified control weaknesses.
  • Team Support:
    Contribute to the development and training of junior staff within the regulatory reporting team.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a decisive, accurate, and influential professional with a deep technical foundation in banking supervision.

  • Core Knowledge:
    You must have extensive experience covering regulatory requirements for UK banks, including capital and liquidity reporting
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Strong MS Excel skills are essential (advanced formulae, pivot tables, macro level). Prior experience with data extraction, manipulation, and programming (such as SQL or Python) is highly advantageous.
