Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of service work on firefighting systems, although full training will be provided. You will also be responsible for completing documentation of work carried out, in line with our work procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Working to a planned schedule of service.
Ensure the service van's stock is monitored and maintained with sufficient stock for the day-to-day requirements.
To accurately complete job sheets, time sheets within required timescales.
Assembly of firefighting systems as and when required
-Onsite work in service / installation of systems / equipment.
Experience
- You will need to have a knowledge of mechanical engineering, although full training will be provided. Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems would be an advantage, although specific training will be provided.
- You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, have good communication skills, work to a high standard and be able to work to timescales as required.
Must hold UK driving Licence
Able to fault find and repair
Educated to grade C English and maths
Experience of health and safety requirements working in a workshop practice
Commitment to continued personal and professional development
Excellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution driven
Ability to multi-task, prioritising workloads, working to tight deadlines
Positive, personable and optimistic, with a can-do attitude
Desirable skills.
Recent experience of working in the fire industry

Wages / Salary - £32 - £35,000.00 per annum

Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 16.30 pm, although flexibility will be required.
