Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom Storm ID Full time

About the job

Storm ID is an award-winning digital transformation consultancy, with clients spanning the public sector, healthcare and private sectors across the UK.

As a senior digital consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with clients within strategy, discovery and delivery phases to help identify and shape deliverables.

The role is highly varied with the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. This may include defining requirements and supporting the delivery of new digital services, as well as helping to shape the digital, data and AI roadmaps for high profile organisations.

You may have experience as a product owner, business analyst or within a related consultancy field but, above all, you will have demonstrable hands-on experience of working within discovery and digital transformation projects.

About you

We know that many professionals will come from a variety of backgrounds, and we encourage and value people who bring unique perspectives and knowledge to our team.

You'll be:

  • an analytical thinker with the ability to quickly absorb new information and identify key issues.
  • adept at applying critical thinking to translate business and user requirements into practical digital solutions.
  • able to work independently to understand client requirements and choose a course of action appropriately.
  • able to communicate effectively – in person and in writing – with senior-level clients and colleagues, bringing people together on projects while tackling conflicting requirements.
  • open to learning from others, and able to offer your support when needed.

It is also desirable if you have:

  • experience within complex digital transformation programmes for the public sector
  • experience in business change activities, including operating model design and change management

One more thing – research indicates that marginalised groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet 100% of the qualifications. We also know that many professionals come from various backgrounds. We value people who bring unique perspectives and new knowledge to our team. If you believe you're qualified, but don't "check all the boxes", please submit an application.

What you'll do

You'll have a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities to learn.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Working on digital strategies to help clients define digital roadmaps.
  • During discoveries, using a variety of analysis techniques to understand business domains and elicit requirements, including running stakeholder workshops and interviews, and producing documentation including discovery reports, product backlogs and 'to be' business processes.
  • Acting in a product owner role on delivery projects. This may include creating product roadmaps, contributing to scope definition, writing and prioritising functional requirements, and proactively engaging with stakeholders to understand and address challenges throughout the project.

You'll collaborate closely alongside colleagues (including user research, content design, interface design, technical development and project management) and clients in multi-disciplinary teams.

Did we mention that we offer flexible working which includes hybrid. We want to make sure our people have the flexibility to be the best they can be.

Benefits

We believe in rewarding our people for the great work that they do. The benefits we offer include:

  • 33 days of leave - that includes 4 statutory days over Christmas and New Year, with all other bank holidays included as regular leave you can take whenever you want
  • paid training and development (after 3 months)
  • performance related pay (after 1 year)
  • private medical insurance with BUPA (after 1 year)

The salary for this role is up to £70,000 depending on experience.
