Manchester, New Hampshire, United Kingdom FDM Group Full time

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to work for our client within the Public Sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend, and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Manchester.

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex ERP programmes across multiple business units. You'll be accountable for planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful outcomes—ensuring the ERP solution is delivered on time, within budget, and achieves measurable business value. This role combines leadership, delivery excellence, and deep ERP experience (implementation, integration, migration, change management).

Responsibilities:

  • Own delivery of multi-phase ERP programmes (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, HR) from discovery to stabilisation.
  • Establish and maintain programme governance: RAID management, stage gates, steering committees, OKRs/KPIs.
  • Lead high-performing cross-functional teams (BAs, PMs, solution architects, test, change, data).
  • Develop detailed delivery roadmaps, milestone plans, resource models, and budget forecasts.
  • Coordinate cross-workstream dependencies (core ERP, integrations, data migration, reporting/analytics).
  • Drive delivery using blended methods (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall)
  • Engage business leaders, product owners, and SMEs to align scope and priorities
  • Proactively identify and manage delivery risks and issues; maintain RAID logs and mitigation plans.

About You

  • 5+ years in programme/delivery management;
  • Experience leading ERP implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, NetSuite).
  • Demonstrable success delivering multi-entity, multi-region ERP programmes in complex environments.
