Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Location: Fernside House, Armley, Leeds

Hours: 38.5 hours per week

Salary: £12.60 per hour (annual £25,225), plus overtime paid at £14.10 per hour

Shift Pattern: 07:45am - 07:45pm, two-week rolling rota:

  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
  • Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri

Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our brand-new residential service, Fernside House, in Armley, Leeds. Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care.

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support individuals on their journey to recovery through person-centred care in a residential setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents.
  • Promote engagement in meaningful activities and encourage social inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and support residents in accessing education, employment, and the community.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence, helping residents regain control over their lives.

Experience Required:

  • Experience within a Mental Health or Residental setting
  • Can build rapport with ease with not only the residents but the wider team
  • Understanding the importance of offering person-centered quality care
