Management Trainee - Cheerful Links (Manchester)

We are looking for ambitious individuals who will dedicate their time and effort to learning and growing within our rapidly expanding global business. A successful candidate will develop leadership skills, make good business decisions, and participate in training both in-house and externally. Individuals who are interested in this position will need excellent communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

About Cheerful Links Group (CLG) 佳恩里

Cheerful Links Group (CLG) 佳恩里 is one of the leading oriental grocers based in the heart of the Midlands, with sites in Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, London and Norwich. Over the past few years our group has expanded rapidly, supplying to the NHS, manufacturers and wholesalers alike. We have seen immense growth in both our import and export of goods both nationally and on an international scale, making the CLG a truly global business.

Ambitious growth is a mainstay of CLG and we have made numerous appearances at international food events to promote our products worldwide. We aim to increase trade cooperation by linking the Oriental and Western markets with steady growth and year on year investments. Therefore we are looking for suitable, ambitious candidates who are capable to take on this challenge in a dynamic and busy environment. In-house training will be provided, designed to equip you with the skills needed for future leadership. These posts are ideal for developing into senior management roles and for graduates who seek a challenging career path.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Gain hands-on experience by rotating through key departments such as operations, logistics, sales, and procurement.
  • Support senior management in daily tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at business growth and market expansion.
  • Participate in special projects and learn to make sound business decisions under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Multi-lingual: English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin), able to speak and write in both languages.
