Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to foster their development through play and structured activities. This role is crucial in supporting children's social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring they are safe and actively participating in activities.
  • Plan and implement creative play activities .
  • Communicate effectively with children, encouraging positive interactions and helping them develop social skills.
  • Manage behaviour in a constructive manner, using appropriate strategies to resolve conflicts among children.
  • Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
  • Collecting and dropping children to and from school.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
  • A background in Early Childhood Education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of childcare practices, including health and safety regulations .
  • A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to inspire creativity through play-based learning.
