Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Health Care worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including private homes .This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, particularly for individuals with specific needs such as dementia or those requiring hospice care.

Duties

As a Health Care Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of clients.
  • Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring compliance with care plans.
  • Supporting individuals with dementia through behaviour management techniques.
  • Assisting with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients during transfers.
  • Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.

Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in domiciliary care, care home or nursing home setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices and hospice care principles is advantageous.
  • A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications will be considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
  • A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
