Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Curriculum Co-ordinator to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programmes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent presentation and communication skills, with a strong background in teaching and curriculum design.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape learning experiences and ensure the delivery of high-quality educational content across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the whole curriculum, including ensuring AQA units are relevant and robust to meet our learners' needs.
  • Ensuring quality teaching and learning by working in partnership with teaching staff and tutors. This will require book-looks and lesson observations, as well as holding at least weekly meetings with teaching team and tutors.
  • Gathering pertinent evidence in a timely manner, in collaboration with provisional pathway tutors.
  • Designing and updating of individual learning plans and data & evidence entry on ILPs.
  • Working closely with all partners, to ensure that the curriculum is meaningful, engaging and robust.
  • The organisation and facilitation of external workshops and visitors, to support the wider curriculum.
  • Supporting the Employability Teacher to identify and organise work experience placements.
  • Organisation of termly parents' meetings
  • Organisation of exam arrangements, working closely with partners.
  • Liaising with teachers regarding special arrangements
  • Occasional teaching as and when required
  • Working closely with learners to ensure their educational provision is appropriate and of high quality and that their voice is heard and reflected throughout the setting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in curriculum development or educational programme management.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Teaching experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of pedagogical principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Organised with exceptional project management abilities to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for detail and quality assurance in educational content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
