This is a great opportunity for a detail driven Payroll professional to join a supportive finance team within a well established organisation based in Newmarket. You'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes, supporting both the Finance and HR departments ensuring a seamless experience for employees is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update payroll and timesheet data accurately and on time
  • Work closely with wider departments to process payroll amendments ensuring a full audit trail is maintained
  • Manage employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Support with checking payroll prior to BACS submission
  • Process expense claims and manage payroll related deductions
  • Stay up to date with government policy changes relating to tax, pensions, and P11D

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills working to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements
