Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hairdressing and an eagerness to provide exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity while working in a vibrant salon environment. Your role will not only involve cutting and styling hair but also engaging with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality hair cutting, colouring, and styling services tailored to individual client preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Engage with clients to understand their desired looks and offer professional advice on styles and products.
  • Upsell additional services such as makeup application, eyelash extensions, or specialised treatments.
  • Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client records.
  • Mentor junior stylists and apprentices, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in hairdressing and beauty techniques.

Qualifications

  • Valid hairdressing qualification or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Proven experience in barbering is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience in store management or front desk operations is a plus.
  • Ability to upsell services and products confidently.
  • Knowledge of makeup application techniques is beneficial.
  • A passion for mentoring others and contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the salon's schedule.
