As an Afro Hairdresser, you will provide high-quality hairdressing services for clients with afro and textured hair. You will specialise in natural hair styling, braiding, wig /weave installation, and maintenance, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident, beautiful, and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a wide range of afro hair services, including:

Natural hair care (washing, conditioning, treatments, trims)

Braiding styles (box braids, cornrows, knotless braids, twists, etc.)

Weaves, sew-ins, and wig installations

Locs and retwists

Silk presses, blowouts, and styling for textured hair

Advise clients on hair care routines, protective styling, and product use.

Maintain a clean, organised, and professional salon environment.

Keep up to date with trends in afro hair fashion, products, and techniques.

Deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships.

Work collaboratively with other stylists and support staff.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with afro and textured hair (minimum 1year preferred).

Skilled in all major afro hair techniques including braids, twists, locs, wigs, and weaves.

Knowledge of natural haircare and scalp treatments.

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for afro hair styling.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Professional appearance and positive attitude.

[NVQ Level 2/3 in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.]
