Payroll Administrator/Admin

A vacancy has arisen in our accountancy practice for an experienced payroll professional to join our team.
Responsibilities;
Duties will include processing and filing of payroll for approximately 100 clients (weekly/fortnightly/4 weekly/monthly basis). You must be able to deal with all aspects of payroll. You must also be able to work independently to meet strict deadlines and be able to deal with client queries resolving them with HMRC as necessary.
Assisting with accounts/tax preparation when time allows - no previous experience is required for this element of the role, full training will be given.
Essential qualities/experience for this role are;
At least 2 years recent experience of processing a high volume of payroll transactions.
Some financial background is crucial.
You must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with clients, colleagues, and HMRC.
A sound understanding of current payroll legislation including PAYE, SSP, SMP, National insurance, pensions, etc.
We are looking for an individual that is able to work independently and works well as part of a small team.
Excellent communication skills
Accurate data entry skills
The ability to work to deadlines
The ability to work well under pressure
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
