Freelance Social Media Manager

We're looking for a creative, proactive Social Media Manager to join our team to help shape and grow the online presence of leading Advertising Photographer and Filmmaker, Jonathan Knowles. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate (degree not essential) with experience marketing, communications, media, or a creative field with a passion for visual storytelling, photography, and design.

About the role:

You'll work directly with our small, creative team to manage and develop our social media channels - Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The role will also involve managing entries into key photography and advertising competitions, website updates, and manage our Reddit and Wikipedia profiles.

Key responsibilities:

 Implement social media strategy to build engagement, grow followers, and share world-class visual content

·     Schedule and publish regular content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok

·     Actively engage with followers, brands, creatives and advertising agencies

·     Write engaging and on-brand captions

·     Develop and maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual identity

·     Monitor engagement and analyse performance metrics

·     Research and prepare competition entries for major industry awards (e.g. D&AD, AOP, IPA)

·     Keep up with social trends and propose fresh content ideas

·     Assist with behind-the-scenes and campaign storytelling

·     Familiarise yourself with top global advertising agencies and brands

About you:

·
Based in London or within a commutable distance to our studio in Hammersmith

·     Recent graduate (degree not essential) with experience in marketing, communications or media

·     Passionate about visual storytelling, photography, and advertising, ideally within the food and drinks sector.

·     Confident writing engaging, concise copy

·     Highly organised, good attention to detail, and proactive

·     Good communication skills

·     Experienced with Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and analytics tools

Bonus points for:

Experience with Buffer, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva

Understanding of SEO and content strategy

Previous experience working in creative advertising environments

Freelance, part-time (approx. 1–2 days per week)

Based in London – Hammersmith (on-site)
