Job Title-Quality Controller Auditor

Reports to- Senior Technical Manager

Department-Technical

Working Pattern-Saturday to Wednesday,07:00-16:00. (Flexibility required to cover departmental holidays and absences )

Work Location-Edmonton, London

Role:

  • Working on feet all day in chilled environments.

  • Liaise with production and obtain daily production plan

  • Ensure traceability paperwork is completed.

  • Checking preparation area to ensure allergen procedure is followed

  • Sample collection

  • Monitor the necessary HACCP & pre-requisite checks are carried out to meet legal, quality and safety standards.

  • Conduct taste panels with the wider team in the night as required.

  • Finished products weight check.

  • Conduct metal detection checks as required.

  • Complete factory paperwork.


• Liaise with production, hygiene and engineering colleagues to ensure technical non-conformances are understood.
• Checking food quality & Temperature checks.

  • Checking WIP chiller to ensure that allergens are segregated.

  • Checking traceability paperwork before submitting for filing- verified by production.

  • Any other ad hock tasks given by Technical Department

Key Skills

  • Ability to work alongside QA team and production to resolve issues and non-conformances.

  • Effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the business from operatives, supervisors/charge-hands and managers.

  • Ability to accurately check key information such as use by dates, allergens, batch codes etc.

  • Flexible and reliable when asked to cover holidays, audits

Abilities & Skills

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel are essential.

  • Good verbal & written communications Skills

  • Flexible approach to working
