Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, fostering student development, and delivering engaging lessons tailored to diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, particularly those with special educational needs, including children with autism and other disabilities. The Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to promote inclusive education and personal growth.
Duties
- Design and deliver customised lesson plans that cater to individual student needs, including special education programmes.
- Support students with disabilities and those on the autism spectrum through specialised teaching methods and mentoring.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and confidence among pupils.
- Use creative writing techniques and other engaging activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioural developments.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and academic achievements in compliance with school policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching, preferably within special education settings or working with children and SEND.
- Knowledge of working with people with SEND and other developmental challenges.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to support their academic growth.
- Creative writing skills to develop innovative lesson content that stimulates student interest.
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with children, especially those with special educational needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education are highly desirable.
- A proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous learning in inclusive teaching practices. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for educators passionate about making a difference in the lives of children through personalised education and dedicated support.
Start time and end times can vary from 8am - 3:45pm.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Freelance
Pay: £90.00-£100.00 per day
Work Location: In person
