What we can offer:

· Salary - £30,000-£34,000 dependant on experience.

· Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Flexible)

· Christmas Closure – The office will close for the week between Christmas and New Year. This will normally be unpaid, but you may use annual leave or, if preferred, arrange to work from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate cost estimates and supporting technical documentation to enable the Company to submit competitive and profitable quotations to clients.

· Review and discuss reports with engineers to formulate quotes that accurately reflect both completed work and outstanding requirements.

· Maintain effective communication with engineers, offering technical support and guidance on repair-related issues when required.

· Assist engineers in sourcing parts and materials by liaising with suppliers to ensure accurate components are identified, ordered, and delivered in a timely manner.

· Order, register, and manage parts inventory, ensuring all items are correctly logged and ready for dispatch to engineers before the repair work begins.

· Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, stock control, and parts dispatch.

· Develop a thorough understanding of pricing structures and post-completion costing processes to ensure accurate financial reconciliation of works.

Key Skills Required

· Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with engineers for job updates and relay accurate information to clients.

· Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades, particularly within the reactive maintenance sector.

· Excellent customer service skills, with a professional and approachable manner when dealing with clients and stakeholders.

· Professional telephone etiquette and confident call-handling abilities.

· Strong time management and ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.

· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple workloads simultaneously.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

· Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks from start to completion with a proactive and accountable approach. (Key skill)

Qualifications and Experience

· Degree in Building Surveying or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable but not essential.

· Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel within London on an ad hoc basis.

· Health & Safety training or certification (preferred).

· Previous experience in a similar role or environment, ideally within property maintenance, construction, or facilities management.

· Experience in managing client portfolios and supervising teams is advantageous.

· Excellent IT literacy, including strong proficiency in MS Office and fast, accurate typing.

· Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to all aspects of work.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional correspondence and reports.

· Ability to work independently and maintain high performance levels with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have adequate experience working as Main Contractor operating under residential projects and be very well organised. This role will be quite suitable for a multi-trader/ex builder or alternatively someone working on a large development onsite daily with many years of experience looking for an office position. Although the role is largely office based occasional site visits will be required for quoting, organising materials, meeting clients and monitoring the deadlines and progress of the projects.

The role commands the use of the full suite of Microsoft Office programmes, quick adaptation of internal property software, communicating well on apps and emails.
