HGV Technician | Near Heathrow | Starting Pay £18.00 to £23.00 ph + Overtime + Benefits + Promotional prospects

The company is an independently owned main dealership, who have expanded quite substantially over the past few years, with large investment into facilities and staff. Excellent training facilities and promotion from within are important to the company, whether that be at a manufacturing level or within one of the workshops / technical facilities.

I am looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician to join very busy and professional workshop.

This is a great opportunity to progress your technical career working on an excellent HGV certification programme.

As HGV Technician you will be maintaining and servicing HGV and commercial van units.

Further opportunities for those with ambition will arise for internal promotion.

For this position the following is required;

  • Minimum 3 years proven and stable employment background working as an HGV Technician within a busy independent or main HGV dealers (We will consider other applicants who come from a light commercial vehicle background working as a Technician)
  • Be qualified to Level II City and Guilds or NVQ Level III in Vehicle Mechanics
  • Be able to use diagnosis machines (On-going training will always be provided as each truck brand has there own diagnosis machines)
  • Be ambitious and open to career progression
  • MUST have own tools
  • We will consider people who are from outside the UK, providing you have a full work permit, are fully qualified, come from HGV maintenance background and who are already in the UK ready to work and are within the local area to where the positions are

Your duties;

  • Performing repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles
  • Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes
  • Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
  • Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles
  • Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
  • To fault find diagnose

On Offer;

  • Starting base rate of pay between: £18.00 per hour to £23.00 plus per hour (Negotiable depending on experience) + Overtime paid x1.5 + Pension + On-going training Certification + Holidays + Career growth opportunities
  • Monday to Friday
