OverviewMy client is a leading recycling company based in Barking, East London. They now have a position for an HGV Technician to join their small team at their site. The successful HGV Technician will carry out inspection, diagnostics, service, maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of LGV/HGV vehicles.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all company vehicles are kept legal and roadworthy.Conduct thorough inspections to identify any potential problems and safety concerns.Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.Conduct PMIs (Preventative Maintenance Inspections) and associated documentation.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools (Texa & Eclipse).RequirementsMust hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.Previous experience of working on HGV/LGV vehicles.Able to work well under pressure and on own initiative.Hold Class 1/C+E driving licence - desirable.BenefitsAnnual salary is £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.20 days holiday + bank holidays, rising with service.Monday - Friday - 40 hours.Company pension scheme.Free tea/coffee.Employee assistance programme.Company discretionary bonus.Opportunity for progression in the role.Opportunity to undergo further training and gain additional qualifications.NoteNOTE - Our client encourages applications from candidates with ex-military backgrounds, REME Vehicle Mechanic or Royal Air Force/RAF General Technician Mechanical #J-18808-Ljbffr
