Mercia Garden Products Ltd are seeking proactive and dedicated Factory Operatives to join our team.

As one of the UK's leading manufacturers and retailers of sheds, summerhouses, and outdoor garden buildings, we have been shaping British gardens since 1878. We are seeking operatives to work in the Packing department. This role is essential in ensuring that all components are adequately packed ready to go out to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent work ethic and can do attitude, along with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Handling treated and assembled components throughout the day
  • Packing buildings to correct specifications
  • Recognising quality issues and ensuring they are resolved
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations while performing tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines as well as quality standards.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organisation and multi tasking skills
  • Previous packing experience is preferred, however full training will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently

Hours - Monday - Friday 6:00am - 16:00pm

Location - Sutton-on-Trent - own transport required.

Salary - £12.21 per hour plus weekly attendance/performance bonus scheme (Rising once fully experienced within the role)
