Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team and work with our Head Chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing meals efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices
  • Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is an advantage
  • A passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes that delight customers
