Job Overview

A fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Educator has become available, at CIPHER Medical.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Head of education and the wider education team to deliver high-quality education and training for staff and customers of all experience and ability.

CIPHER Medical are looking for an individual with a keen interest in education and development, previous experience is preferrable but not essential. The successful candidate will use previous educational, academic, and high-quality clinical practice experiences to contribute to and support the management of clinical educational activities and deliver specialist and generalist knowledge and skills to learners at all pre-hospital levels.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of contemporary pre-hospital education and will be expected to represent the mission and values of CIPHER Medical to a high standard.

The Clinical Educator will also be expected to undertake a range of managerial duties appropriate to the level, such as monitoring learner progression, seeking new contract opportunities and leading by example

Duties

Teaching and learning support.

  • Design teaching materials and deliver across all subject areas.

  • Utilise appropriate teaching, learning support and assessment methods.

  • Identify areas where current provision requires revision of improvement.

  • Develop, undertake, and assess examinations and provide feedback to learners.

  • Engage in research conference presentations where appropriate.

Research and scholarship.

  • Conduct individual or collaborative research projects.Clinical Educator Version

  • Engage in research conference presentations where appropriate.

Communication.

  • Ensure effective communication with learners on a range of issues.

  • Produce reports as required by the Head of department. Teamwork.

Teamwork

  • Act as a responsible team member and develop productive working relationships with all members of CIPHER staff.

  • Participate in peer review processes.

Initiative and decision making.

  • Develop contacts and networks to aid income generation within CIPHER Medical.

  • Contribute towards the accreditation, monitoring, and quality assurance of all educational delivery.

  • Identify and report any issues or challenges which affects the quality of educational delivery to the Head of department.

  • Autonomously manage the pressures of teaching, administrative tasks and competing deadlines.

Expertise.

  • Ensure your personal breadth and depth of specialist

knowledge is maintained to deliver high-quality contemporary educational programmes.

  • Adopt a pedogeological approach to curriculum design and delivery to enthuse and engage learners.

Any other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Essential Criteria

  • Recognised teaching qualification or commitment to complete within 1 year of employment
  • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS
  • Experience in teaching and training health care professionals and the public
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of operational ambulance duties, work procedures and practices
  • Commitment to and demonstrable evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Awareness of CIPHER Medical's mission and values.
  • Effective written and oral communication and the ability to network
  • successfully with colleagues in other agencies and organisations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to embracing Equality and Diversity
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the health, safety, and welfare of all.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
  • Ability to deliver controversial, sensitive, or emotional subjects to a range of delegates
  • Ability to present information at the appropriate level to groups of varying sizes, including conference type lectures
  • Experience of providing various methods of simulation from low-fidelity first aid to high fidelity simulation for health professionals

  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet urgent deadlines

This role will require the ability to travel with overnight stays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £32,240.00 per year
