Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in delivering high-quality landscape maintenance and installation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, gardening, and construction, along with mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using various hand and power tools. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools for various landscaping projects.
  • Implement irrigation systems and conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Train and mentor team members in landscape techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine project requirements and develop work plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide expert advice on plant selection and garden design.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Proficiency in operating excavators and other heavy machinery is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance is essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment to job sites.
