Duties

  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing medicines
  • Prepare medication labels and ensure correct labelling of prescriptions
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering patient queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in accordance with data protection regulations
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, invoicing, and managing inventory documentation

Skills

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate approach towards patient care and confidentiality awareness
  • Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and pharmacy management systems
