London Area, United Kingdom PACE People Full time

Our client is a specialist advisory firm focused exclusively on the renewable energy and energy-transition sector. They support developers, investors, and lenders across Europe and global growth markets, providing commercial, financial, and strategic advice on transactions spanning utility-scale solar, onshore/offshore wind, battery storage, and emerging low-carbon technologies. With a strong track record in deal execution, the team plays a key role in enabling bankable, high-impact clean-energy projects.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Transaction Lead to join the London advisory team. This role will take ownership of complex transaction mandates, guiding clients through valuation, due diligence, structuring, and commercial negotiations. You will work at the intersection of finance, technical inputs, and market strategy to deliver successful outcomes for major renewable energy projects and portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full transaction workstreams for renewable energy deals, including valuation, structuring, due diligence, and negotiation.
  • Develop and review financial models to assess project returns, sensitivities, and bankability.
  • Prepare investment papers, market analysis, and strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Coordinate technical, legal, financial, and ESG advisors throughout the transaction process.
  • Advise clients on commercial terms, risks, and optimisation strategies for solar, wind, storage, and hybrid assets.
  • Support origination efforts through opportunity screening, pitch preparation, and client engagement.
  • Maintain strong awareness of policy developments, market pricing, and financing trends across the energy-transition landscape.
  • Mentor junior team members and ensure effective delivery of advisory outputs.

About You

  • 6–10 years of experience in renewable energy advisory, project finance, M&A, investment banking, or infrastructure consulting.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities with proven experience in clean-energy transactions.
  • Skilled in managing due diligence, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating multi-disciplinary workstreams.
  • Deep understanding of renewable energy project structures, PPAs, EPC/O&M contracts, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex analyses clearly to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple mandates simultaneously.
  • Passion for the clean-energy transition and a desire to work in a sector-specialist advisory environment.

Why Join?

  • Lead high-value renewable energy transactions shaping the energy transition in the UK and internationally.
  • Work with a respected advisory team known for sector expertise and client impact.
  • Competitive compensation with clear pathways for professional growth.
  • Exposure to diverse technologies, markets, and financing structures.
