Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving change and innovative solutions to complex problems within a dynamic public sector environment? We are looking for a skilled Change Design Manager to join our team at Transport for London and play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation.

We are the custodians of Transport for London's operating model, helping our business turn its strategic objectives and priorities into a tangible reality. We work across the entire organisation with a wide range of functions, from frontline operations to large scale back-office teams, providing them with the expertise and frameworks to facilitate successful transformation.

Within the Change Design function, we start by collaboratively working with our colleagues to understand and articulate key organisational problems and strategic drivers. We ensure all the dots are joined and that issues are interpreted in a cohesive manner across the entire TfL change landscape, before working together using a blend of tested methodologies and bespoke approaches to design and build solutions that meet our objectives. Change Design goes beyond just resolving a given problem – it also involves identifying other opportunities for potential improvement, coaching our colleagues, providing strategic advice and, where needed, objective and constructive challenge to our senior leaders.

As a Change Design Manager, you'll be experienced in the following:

  • Good understanding of scoping, designing, and delivering business change within a public sector or unionised environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to develop credibility with different stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and business modelling techniques.
  • Operating models, organisation design, process design, or behavioural and cultural change
  • Ability to lead small change design projects independently and support on larger, more complex programmes.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

You'll Be Skilled In

  • Change and Innovation
  • Operating Model Design
  • Communication and Influence
  • Strategic Thinking
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Organisational Awareness
  • Data Analysis

If you are a proactive and driven individual with a passion for driving change and innovation, we want to hear from you. Apply now to join our dynamic team at TfL and make a real impact on the future of Transport in London.
