The P Louise Empire Café is where style meets experience, a unique destination that blends creativity, hospitality, and the unmistakable energy of the P Louise brand. Following the success of our flagship in Stockport, we're expanding to the Trafford Centre, and we're searching for a passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to help bring our new café to life.

This role includes training at our Stockport location, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in our brand standards and service style before joining the management team at Trafford.

Role Overview

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll support the Restaurant Manager in leading the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth operations, and a fun, engaging environment for both guests and staff. You'll lead by example on the restaurant floor, motivate the team, and help maintain the high standards that define the P Louise experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous supervisory or team leader experience in hospitality who's ready to take the next step in their management career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily café and front-of-house operations.
• Lead by example during service, ensuring efficiency, energy, and excellence in guest experience.
• Assist with team recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training.
• Motivate and inspire the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and professional culture.
• Support with rota planning, shift management, and daily team briefings.
• Ensure the café always meets P Louise brand standards in presentation, service, and atmosphere.
• Handle guest queries and feedback with professionalism and care.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and operations teams to deliver seamless service.
• Assist with monitoring sales, performance metrics, and financial targets.
• Oversee cash handling, till reconciliation, and opening/closing procedures when required.
• Ensure health & safety, food hygiene, and brand compliance standards are maintained at all times.
• Take on additional responsibilities in the Restaurant Manager's absence.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader in a busy café, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service standards and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Organised, proactive, and confident in handling a variety of operational tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Experience managing shifts, handling cash, and leading teams.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and service compliance (training provided if needed).
• Passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience aligned with the P Louise brand.

Pay: £32,500.00 per year
