The Role

  • Operate drilling machines and edgebanders to process cabinet panels and related products to a high professional standard.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications and works orders accurately.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands to ensure machines perform correct functions.
  • Inspect and measure finished items to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Support CNC, cutting, edging and drilling work as required.
  • Complete all documentation to the required standard.
  • Meet agreed production output targets while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment and follow all H&S procedures.
  • Work positively with colleagues and represent the company professionally at all times.

What We're Look For

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience handling various sheet material types.
  • Experience using and maintaining edge banding equipment.
  • Experience using and maintaining drilling CNC equipment.
  • Experience working with panel drilling programmes such as WoodWOP.
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to handle awkward or heavy materials.
  • Good communication skills and personable approach.
  • Good computer literacy with CNC cutting and drilling programmes.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.

Desirable

  • Experience optimising materials to minimise waste.
  • Experience in cabinet construction.
  • Solid Grade Laminate experience.
  • Trained CNC operative and materials programmer.
