Role Description

We are seeking a
skilled ServiceNow Developer
for a
full-time hybrid role
based in the
London area
, with flexibility for remote work.

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in the ongoing
development, configuration, and maintenance
of an enterprise-level ServiceNow platform. You'll design and implement custom solutions, automate workflows, and enhance user experiences while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that ServiceNow integrates seamlessly with business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Scripting:

  • Write, test, and deploy
    client-side
    (Client Scripts, UI Policies) and
    server-side
    (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions) scripts using
    JavaScript/Glide
    .
  • Build and maintain
    Service Catalog items
    , including complex variable configurations and advanced workflows.
  • Utilise
    low-code tools
    like
    Flow Designer
    to automate and streamline business processes.

Configuration & Customisation:

  • Design and enhance user interfaces, including creating and maintaining
    custom Service Portal widgets
    .
  • Configure new modules, tables, and applications in alignment with platform best practices.

Maintenance & Quality Assurance:

  • Manage
    Update Sets
    to migrate configurations and code between development, test, and production environments.
  • Participate in testing activities and assist with platform upgrades.
  • Perform routine administration tasks such as user management, data imports, and ACL configuration.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the
    ServiceNow Product Owner
    and technical teams to refine requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of
    hands-on experience
    developing within the
    ServiceNow platform
    .
  • Strong foundation in
    Computer Science concepts
    ,
    Software Development
    , and
    Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
    .
  • Proven experience in
    ServiceNow configuration, customization, and scripting
    .
  • Familiarity with
    ITIL processes
    and
    Agile delivery
    methodologies.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving
    ,
    analytical
    , and
    communication skills
    .
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Engineering
    , or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
