— is looking for a dynamic
Group Head of Compliance
to join their leadership team.
With four established asset finance businesses under one Group and exciting plans for rapid expansion, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the compliance, culture, and governance framework of a business that's on an upward trajectory.
About the Role
As
Group Head of Compliance
, you'll lead the Compliance function across the Group, ensuring alignment with all internal and external regulatory requirements (FCA, SMCR, Consumer Duty, etc.). You'll provide senior oversight and strategic direction — building a strong compliance culture while supporting commercial growth.
This is a
key leadership role
, responsible for regulatory strategy, risk management frameworks, and engagement with regulators. You'll also oversee the Group's AML and financial crime responsibilities, regulatory reporting, and the compliance of appointed representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Compliance team, promoting a proactive and collaborative compliance culture.
- Develop and maintain a Group-wide risk management and reporting framework.
- Act as SME on regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing readiness for change.
- Oversee all regulatory reporting and engagement with the FCA.
- Manage SMF 16 and 17 responsibilities and ensure full SMCR compliance.
- Oversee Consumer Duty obligations and ensure fair outcomes for customers.
- Conduct internal audits, monitor AR network compliance, and manage financial promotions.
- Support business growth initiatives by advising on compliant product design and processes.
About You
- Degree-educated with proven experience in a
senior compliance or risk leadership role
. - Deep understanding of the
FCA Handbook
and the regulatory environment for both lenders and brokers. - Experience managing
SMCR, AML, financial crime, and Consumer Duty
obligations. - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in the
asset finance
or wider financial services sector preferred. - Detail-oriented with the ability to balance compliance integrity and commercial agility.
