Your Role

As a Mental Health Residential Care Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide emotional and practical support tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Encourage independence by assisting with daily routines, life skills, and personal development.
  • Foster a safe, homely environment where residents feel valued and supported.
  • Respond to challenges with patience, empathy, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to deliver person-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding and health & safety compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in social care, mental health, or residential support (preferred but not essential).
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • An enhanced DBS check (required).
