Quantum Care is a not for profit company providing high quality care services for over 2000 older people in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. Full-time 37 hours per week Weekdays and alternate weekends required

As a Chef Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Providing homely meals for our residents, meeting a diverse range of dietary requirements.
  • Planning staff rotas which are appropriate for the kitchen workload and arrange cover for planned absences, using existing and casual staff.
  • Organising every aspect of the catering operation within the home to provide a safe, nutritious, cost effective quality service to all customers.
  • Ensuring all statutory training takes place.
  • Ensuring regular stock takes occur and that stock is maintained at minimum agreed levels.
  • Communicating with all customers on a regular basis, whenever possible.
  • Managing the catering budget and producing financial information relating to performance against the budget on a monthly basis.
