The Hope & Anchor is a bustling riverside pub with 12 cosy bedrooms, an events space for private gatherings (from weddings and birthday parties to wakes), and a commitment to offering delicious, home-cooked meals crafted from fresh ingredients. The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a vital part in our kitchen's day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Washing up and maintaining a clean environment for our chefs.
  • Keeping the kitchen tidy and organized throughout each shift.
  • Emptying bins and supporting the kitchen team with prep where needed.
  • Restocking busy sections to keep our service running smoothly.
  • Assisting with putting away deliveries and organizing stock.
  • Notifying the Head Chef of low-stock items to ensure we're always prepared for the next service.

The Hope & Anchor is a beautiful riverside pub, restaurant & inn nestled in the heart of Ross-On-Wye with multiple dining options for customers including a traditional pub bar and a modern cocktail bar, two restaurants, a riverside hut serving those on the go, and a spacious garden with outdoor seating including a Bandstand and all-weather tent area, both of which can house entertainment. We also have 12 beautiful recently refurbished riverside en-suite rooms available, with breakfast included and served in the pub.
