is seeking an experienced
Technical Business Analyst
to join a dynamic team within a leading global financial services organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on the next generation of strategic back-office applications, ensuring technology solutions deliver maximum value to users.

The successful candidate will join an Agile team alongside engineers and project managers, supporting initiatives that optimise the management of brokerage data and pricing calculations used to drive global broking activity. This position involves commercial analysis of data to understand revenues and support client commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the existing system landscape, including legacy platforms, to support migration to modern target systems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to identify and resolve delivery obstacles.
  • Rapidly gain subject-matter knowledge of systems and the products they support to provide accurate insights and recommendations.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Secure stakeholder sign-off on documented requirements, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
  • Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, demonstrating a deep understanding of systems and business processes.
  • Maintain high attention to detail across all deliverables, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Work effectively under pressure, managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and Agile team culture focused on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Essential Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a
    Business Analyst
    , ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical systems, data flows, and process design.
  • Proven track record of supporting digital transformation projects, including migrations from legacy to modern systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach to documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborative mindset and a commitment to contributing positively to team success.

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Experience using
    JIRA
    and
    Microsoft Office
    (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Problem-solving ability to identify and remove delivery obstacles.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
