We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Alternatives Solutions Director to join Royal London Asset Management on a permanent basis.

This is astrategic leadership role at the heart of our Product team where you will influence how we design and deliver innovative investment solutions primarily across Private Debt, including real estate and infrastructure.

You'll be the go-to expert, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to craft fund structures that meet diverse client needs. From collaborating with Royal London Group on bespoke solutions to identifying new market opportunities and joint ventures, your impact will be felt across the business.

If you're commercially minded, deeply knowledgeable in alternatives and thrive on turning complexity into clarity, this is the role where your expertise will drive real change.

About the role

  • Design and deliver fund structures to meet internal and external investment needs.
  • Provide expert insight across asset types including Structured Finance, Real Estate Finance, Infrastructure Debt/Equity, and Special Situations.
  • Collaborate with Royal London Group to co-create solutions for various capital pools
  • Partner with investment teams and fund managers across investment capabilities.
  • Work with Sales and Investment Directors to identify opportunities for institutional and wholesale clients.
  • Oversee fund structuring, platform operations, and Fund Director appointments.
  • Explore new market opportunities and joint ventures.
  • Improve operating models for annuity funds and contribute to Alternatives business growth.

About you

  • Deep expertise in Alternatives across UK, Europe, Australia or globally.
  • Proven experience in Private Debt/Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and fund structuring.
  • Strong legal/regulatory knowledge and strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with requirements of various client segments, e.g. UK Permitted Links regime and private markets operating models.
  • Advanced Excel/Word skills and high numeracy.
  • Understanding of ISDA/CSA arrangements and risk systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for institutional and wealth clients.
